Why is there only a 6 month expiration date?

The majority of cardholders typically use their cards within the first 90 days. These funds remain valid for up to 12 months, with the initial expiration set at 6 months from the card's issuance date. In the event that funds go unused, customers have the option to request a reissue of the card with the full remaining balance between months 7-12. After the 12-month period, the card account is closed, and any remaining funds are removed.
